The company has not only failed to issue a fix yet, but has not even responded to Jebara and Rahbani.

Oh Apple…
Yet Another Software Glicth Found 2015-08-22T11:19:00+08:00

Chinese computer maker Lenovo Group has found another glitch in software preinstalled on some of its laptops. The defect could allow hackers to steal personal data.

Congratulation Lenovo, you had just joined my “Never buy from these companies” list.
Lenovo Caught With Another Backdoor 2015-08-13T22:34:00+08:00

Before booting windows 7 or 8, the bios checks if C:\Windows\system32\autochk.exe is the Lenovo one or the original Microsoft one.

This time, Lenovo used BIOS-Level to install persistent crapware.
Kali Linux 2.0 Released 2015-08-12T17:23:00+08:00
Kali Linux 2.0 has been released, most importantly Kali Linux is now a rolling distribution.
Windows 10 Privacy Issues 2015-07-30T00:00:00+08:00
TNW has a nice post about Windows 10 privacy issues, before downloading Windows 10, you should check out TNW first.
Seriously, Evernote?! 2015-07-15T18:30:00+08:00

Maybe it’s time to find a new solution.
Why, Sammy?! 2015-06-27T11:49:00+08:00

Samsung’s SW Update was downloading a program called Disable_Windowsupdate.exe which, true to its name, was disabling Windows Update each time the system started.

I seriously don’t understand why.

The reason that Samsung’s software was doing this in the first place was never entirely clear. A customer service rep told Barker that laptops’ USB 3 ports “may not work” due to Windows Updates, hence the apparent need to disable them. It’s not, however, clear that the rep was suitably authorized or informed to make this statement, and even if true, it’s not clear why Samsung didn’t elect to fix the problem (by issuing the relevant drivers itself) rather than papering over the cracks.

That’s a lame excuse.

Via Ars Technica
Condom That Changes Color 2015-06-24T13:53:00+08:00

The so-called “S.T.EYE” condom is a conceptual design that changes color when it comes into contact with an STI such as chlamydia or syphilis.

Wow, this is just brilliant!

Via CNN
Oculus Rift 2015-06-12T16:11:00+08:00

The Rift is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. Shouldn’t be this way, did some googling and seems like I am not the only one. Got tired and switched back to CentOS, wasted way too much time playing with FreeBSD.

Anyhow, my old blogs gone, and I think its good, I wanted to redo from fresh anyway. So here I am, a fresh new WordPress blog, and a Ghost blog for my personal site, .

Welcome to Code & Latte, I will update often.

Updates (10 June, 2015): Both sites are using SSL now.
